Real Me Wednesday – Mortgages are Not Glamorous
This #REALMEWEDNESDAY I just want to be honest:
{ I hired a professional photographer
to make mortgages look pretty. }
Here’s what my desk looks like in my dream world.
And here’s what my desk actually looks like in real life.
As you can see, my desk is not perfectly clean. It’s usually laden with loan docs, calculators for crunching numbers, and other inanimate objects that keep me company while I take phone calls. Similarly, the loan industry isn’t perfectly pretty. There’s a lot that goes into each loan transaction:
{phone calls with clients, processors, real estate agents and more}
{lots of late nights fixing the hiccups that are bound to happen}
{texting, organizing, emailing, etc.}
Although there are aspects of the loan process that feel glamorous, the truth is, with so many moving parts, it requires a lot of patience and practice to ensure that a loan goes smoothly.
But you know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way! I may work late nights, but those nights are usually accompanied with gratitude for what I do and a glass of my favorite red wine. I may spend a lot of time talking on the phone, but when I see my clients standing next to their dream home via a FB post, it makes me so happy! And the little mistakes that happen always teach us something new and help us to become even better at what we do.
Until next #REALMEWEDNESDAY,
