Two Special Ladies this Mother’s Day

In my last post, I totally gushed over how proud I am of my brother and his family to find a home to call their own. And now, here comes another warm and fuzzy post – but I just can’t help it! With Mother’s Day right around the corner, I’ve been thinking about how lucky I am to have two amazing women guiding me along in life. My mama aka “marm” and my older sister Elise aka “my fen and my sista.”

My sister is a total badass. Since my mom worked, it was Elise who was always there for me – whether it was taking me out of school early to have a special girls lunch at Olive Garden, attending my parent/teacher conferences or making my costumes for my school performances I could always count on her. She was my loving, cooler “mini mom” growing up. Now I get to watch her be a supermom to her own girls which is pretty cool.

And as for my mom? Well those of you that know her will agree she’s just about the sweetest little lady you’ll ever meet. She has a way of always making you feel important and special – oh and you’ll never leave her house hungry. But don’t cross her cause the lady does hold a grudge!

{Like mother like daughters!}  😜

Together they have taught me to be honest, bold, and independent. And quite frankly, they put up with all of my crap and sass growing up, so for that I am forever grateful! I always try to live a life that I think they would be proud of and can only hope to one day be as good a mom as these two! <3
